Marco's Way and Jake's House
On a completely different side of the spectrum, I have devoted my time to raise awareness about social justice issues. For three consecutive years, I helped facilitate a charity-bowling event for the Marco’s Way Foundation, where funds were raised for the awareness of childhood cancer. During my high school career, I was also involved as a member of the planning committee for Karaoke Night, where I aided to raise awareness for Jake’s House Charity for Autistic Children, while raising over $1000.00 in the process. |

The Living Rosary
Each year of high school I have participated in Chaminade's annual Living Rosary, which aims to gather the entire community in a meaningful and spiritual way. On a volunteer basis, each year I look forward to this event, as it strengthens my religious morals and allows me to reflect on both my positive and negative actions. In the year of 2016, the Living Rosary was dedicated to Tatiana Sousa and Joshua Ferreira, two members of the Chaminade community who were tragically killed in a car accident. Although the ceremony was saddening, seeing so many people gather to support the families of the lost was heartwarming. The Living Rosary truly places a sense of serenity within the heart and mind.
